The Geography...
Located at the head of Liberty Bay, Poulsbo is the hub of roads leading east to Bainbridge Island and Kingston, both with Ferry Connections to Seattle... north to the Hood Canal Bridge connecting to the Olympic Peninsula... and south to Bangor, Kitsap Mall, Silverdale, Bremerton, Port Orchard and on to Gig Harbor and Tacoma.

Tradition...
The snow-peaked mountains and fjords reminiscent of Norway attracted Scandinavian settlers in the 19th Century. The town's proud Nordic roots are reflected along historic Front Street and the waterfront park and marinas downtown.

Now both the spectacular scenery and the town's friendly people, shops, bakeries, restaurants and festive activities attract tourists throughout the summer and on into autumn.

Beyond Tradition...
Poulsbo is also community spirit and nice neighborhoods for its thousands of residents... an intermixing of older homes and the newest.

Headquarters for the highly-regarded North Kitsap School District and site of the Marine Science Center.

Along State Hwy 305, which skirts around downtown, are a shopping center, professional and medical offices, service businesses, restaurants, corporate offices, and the peninsula's only Destination Food Store.
